Child Care

Over the years we have offered care and shelter to thousands of children. For some we have become their new home as they had no other place to go.

A shelter for children in need

Kids' Shelter

In Uganda, thousands of children become victims of abuse, violence, family disputes, or witness to a crime every year. Government-provided shelter and support are often inadequate. We offer a safe refuge, medical care, and a place for children to be themselves— until a safe return to their families becomes possible.

The Kids' Shelter program supports the efforts of the Ugandan police and child protection services, but Noah's Ark has to cover all the expenses. We can't do this without your help. Will you assist us in making a difference?

Children's Home

A New Family

We take in children who were seemingly unwanted: left on a garbage dump, thrown into a latrine, or handed over to a stranger. For many children, we don't even know their own names—nothing is known about them. No trace of their family.

Together with the police and child protection services, we search for family members, sometimes unfortunately with no success. That's when Noah's Ark becomes their new home, where they become a part of our caring family, and we look after them until they can stand on their own feet.

Watch the heart breaking story of how Bernice was abandoned but found a new home at Noah's Ark.
