In Uganda, thousands of children become victims of abuse, violence, and family disputes each year, or witness a crime. Government shelter is often insufficient. We offer a safe haven, medical care, and a place for children to be children – until a safe return to their family is possible.
The Kids' Shelter program supports the work of the Ugandan police and child protection services, but Noah's Ark has to bear all the costs. We cannot do this without your help.
Through our Kids' Shelter program, we can offer the following practical assistance:
Temporary sleeping quarters, clothing, and meals
Medical care in our clinic, or a hospital if necessary
Counseling by our social workers
Transportation back to home or family members
In some cases, we maintain contact with the family for further counseling or practical help.
Noah's Ark is a registered NGO in Uganda and in the Netherlands. Donations made through our website are processed by our office in The Netherlands and may not be tax deductible in your country.
